Portrait Poem

I am Erin.

Daughter, student, caring, intelligent,

Sister of Drew,

Lover of family, friends and animals,

Who feels independent, overwhelmed and in control,

Who needs laughter, love and gum,

Who gives love, support and compassion,

Who fears bridges, failure and death,

Who would like to see a cure for cancer, success and economic stability,

Resident of Cary,

McCarty.

Why do you fear bridges? I like the part about needing gum!

I used to fear bridges myself and then I somehow my fear disappeared; I guess I started going over them more, but I can see why you fear them. I think it is great that you are a big family person, I am very close with my family, and it really helps to have a close relationship with them.

The picture adds a great touch! You did a wonderful job with your poems. We both wrote that we fear failure. Thats interesting!…BUT we aren’t going to fail this semester..we are doing great!

I like how you feel overwhelmed, but still in control.
